Eran Margalit

Eran Margalit finished his MA in Musicology, and was appointed head of educational materials and program editor of the Israeli Opera. Margalit was born and raised in Petach Tikva, Israel. He started to learn music at the age of seven and since then he explored and studied music professionally. He was granted a BMus in Percussion performance from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music (Tel Aviv University, 2017), an MMus in Voice performance from the Conservatory of Music in Brooklyn College (City University of New York, 2020) and as of recent, an MA in Voice performance and Musicology from the joint program of the Academy of Music and Dance and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2025. For his research he explored the Israeli Hora dance from its musical angle and its different cultural, historical and social functions. Eran has been a member of the Israeli Opera Choir since 2017, and first joined the Israeli Opera education department in 2022.
