Gratitude

The achievements of Fulbright Israel are the fruit of the tremendous dedication of a cadre of staunchly committed individuals and institutions.

We must begin by recognizing the tireless efforts undertaken by the commission’s staff to turn our mission into reality. As well, our sincere thanks go to the committee members who so diligently selected our fellows. Your expertise is a factor driving our pursuit of excellence, and we value the time and care you invest.

We must also acknowledge the enormous contributions made by our partners in the various universities, colleges, and other institutions of higher learning that welcome and support our fellows. We are deeply appreciative of our colleagues at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, as well as our partners at the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Public Diplomacy section of the U.S. Embassy in Israel, the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education in Israel, all of whom consistently and steadfastly offer guidance and support.

We are particularly grateful for the commitment of our board members, whose support has been especially meaningful during these challenging times. We owe a special debt of gratitude to the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, who serves as Honorary Chairman of the Board, and to the Chairman of the Board, Sender Cohen, whose messages appear on the opening page.
