East Jerusalem Palestinian Students’ Experiences in Israeli Academia: Crossing the Line delves into the lives of students from East Jerusalem as they navigate the landscape of Israeli higher education. Through captivating stories, the book uncovers the battles, uncertainties, and achievements of these youth as they encounter linguistic, cultural, and political barriers. By using narrative inquiry and integrating theories of settler colonialism and intersectionality, the author sheds light on how these students manage their identities and challenge disparities while pursuing their aspirations. The perspectives in Crossing the Line resonate with scholars in Middle Eastern studies and with international students globally who face similar hurdles in foreign academic settings. It offers insights for individuals interested in the journeys of Palestinian women, navigating traditional societies alongside contemporary ambitions.
