Following his postdoc at Caltech, this August Dr. Israel Kellersztein started his appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Material Engineering at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Dr. Kellersztein’s research focuses on uncovering the fundamental design principles that give biological materials their strength and adaptability—how they evolve and respond to their environment—and translating those insights into sustainable, engineering materials for the future.
