Professor Michael Satlow

Professor Michael Satlow was awarded an NEH-BSF (Israel Binational Science Foundation) grant of $250,000 over three years, to construct a citation network of rabbinic literature. Satlow is Professor of Religious Studies and Judaic Studies at Brown University, where he specializes in Jews and Judaism in antiquity. He engages as well in the digital humanities, and in addition to his work as director of the “Inscriptions of Israel/Palestine” project, he just received an NEH Collaborative Research Grant. Working with a team in Israel, simultaneously funded by the Israel Binational Science Foundation, he will create a wide-ranging citation network of rabbinic literature.
