In August 2025, Professor Philip Hopper was promoted to full professor at the University of Northern Iowa. Professor Hopper’s work concerns vernacular image-making that addresses political conflicts. Hopper’s secondary area of creative work involves vernacular photography and family snapshots as alternative history.
