Professor Eby Friedman

Professor Eby Friedman was selected as a Fellow at the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) in 2024 and won the University of Rochester Hajim Lifetime Achievement Award. Friedman worked with Hughes Aircraft Company for a dozen years developing a large variety of integrated circuits for U.S. military and commercial applications. He is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Rochester and is also a Visiting Professor with the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He has authored more than 600 papers and book chapters, 29 patents, and 22 books in the fields of high speed and low power CMOS design techniques, 3-D design methodologies, high speed interconnect, superconductive circuits, and synchronous clock and power distribution networks with application to high speed portable processors, low power wireless communications, and data centers.
